what is the correct way to introduce a new clam into the tank

like many other fish and corals its best to take your time, especally if its was an online order. Open the box turn off the lights and float the live stock in its bag for at least 30 minuits to get the water temp the same, then open the baggy check the ph and spgr...and slowly add or drip your tank water to the baggy untill the ph and spgr are the same...add the clam to the bottom of the tank and then turn on the actinics then the halides...the slower you go the less stress... now if its been purchased close by and wasent shipped over nite you can speed up the process some....but since ultra maxs arnt cheap and hard to come by wspecally the cherry picked ones I take my time lol!!!!
