4/26/2005 - added meeting at the lutz, and updated the next meeting at Wesleyan - with guest speakers!

For those of you who couldn't go (or were too much of a slacker to go), check out the May meeting (http://www.ctars.org/pastevents/30_may_14_2005.htm) . It was the best meeting I have been to, complete with guest speakers, lunch (LOTS of pizza), and a lot of cool stuff in the auction and raffle.

I put up some photos, but if anyone else has photos of the meeting, please send them to me and I will add them.

Started the upgrade of our website from old style FrontPage to VB.NET/SqlServer. We now have a member list that is sortable by first name, last name, location, RC name, and join date.

Entering the data was a huge PITA, but it is a lot more useable now.

Hi Greg. Still not seeing a correction made to my join date on the member list?

Currently the website database is just a copy of the data from Tom's master database, I will send an email to Tom to ask him to correct his data. Do you remember what date you joined? If not I will set it to the earliest date since I think you were one of the original members.

Thanks Greg. I don't remember exactly when I joined but I was an officer from 2001-2004 :)

Updated the future events page (http://www.ctars.org/default.aspx?uc=futureMeetings) with the schedule for 2006.

The meeting in April is in the Farmington Marriott at the NEC convention. There will be 2 reef speakers there, but you must register for the convention to see the speakers. The registration link is on the future events page.

Added a DIY page (http://www.ctars.net/default.aspx?uc=diy) with the Calcium Reactor Presentation (http://www.ctars.net/misc/CalciumReactorPresentation.htm) from the Feb meeting. This is a converted PowerPoint and only works properly in Internet Explorer. For those who didn't attend the meeting, this reactor is a version of the 'DJ88' calcium reactor here on RC that was built by 5 of the club members.

Added new photos of Jeff's (hans1976) tank on the member tanks page. Check out the tunze rocks - hides the big tunzes well. He has a nice setup for water changes, just flip switches.
