Hi,
Just wondering, what would happen if used an extension cord with the reefkeeper? I really have no other option. Thanks.

I think you will be fine, just make sure you use a very thick heavy duty cord so there is plenty of current transfer. I would use at least a 14 gauge extension cord, and a 12 would be ideal. I would not use a power strip.

Thats what I was thinking but it says to specifically not use an extension cord. Thanks.

Yeah I can see why they would add that, because most people would be thinking of using a simple extension cord or powerstrip. As long as you use a nice 12-14 gauge heavy duty cord, the RK will not know the difference, since it will be like moving the outlet itself closer to the tank.
