OK< on my last shipment I got some new swivel arms 6080.40 and couldn't see any difference. I never looked at the post 6080.23, assuming that was unchanged. It is actually a change to 6080.23 that allows the broader swivel on the magnet holder and it is done by adding a stand off to the post that the pump mounts on. The part number is the same and in English it is labeled the same but the German was changed to Schiebeteil mit Angel Turb st. This piece is available unfortunately I didn't know this was the part and don't have any left in stock but I will get them ordered Monday. A customer found this out from ordering replacements and I thank him for pointing this out to me.

Hi Roger,

I was just wondering how people get the tunzes to face diagonally. That's the problem that I'm having right now: I get very limited rotation with my magnet holders. How can I get these parts for a better swivel on the magnets?

Wish you had a magnet with a smaller foot print outside of the tank.

Roger, I posted in the other thread about having trouble with the new magnet holder for my new 6100 - the pump would change direction (angle) over time since the swivel connection b/t the pump and the holder is not tight.

After seeing this thread, I realized that the swivel on the new holder sticking out more to allow broader swivel as you said.. But it also caused my new Tunze to do unwanted 'swivel' as compared to other (older style) 6100/holders that I have.

Cindy, this piece will give you quite a bit more angle capability.

reefkeeps, the only way the holder works is with a catamaran design, we tried several ways and until we came across this it was too unstable and we had almost given up, it is about as small as it can be and work reliably.

I just got my Tunze 6000 + 7095 this week. Is this a piece that comes with either one of these or do I have to buy them separately?

I think the pumps started coming with this piece about a week ago so it dependds how longg it was on hand at the dealer, the new one is black, if it is brown it is the older one.

Roger,

If you have any photos of the 2 pieces, that would be great. So I can see the difference.

Roger,
I would like to get one of these. Can we get them directly from you?

Thanks,
Melissa

Yes, I will get 100 of them next week. I don't take preorders though as I have enough to keep up with. Premium Aquatics will take a preorder though and they are getting several of them.

Crystal, here is a photo of the new one. Never mind the tube and the screw, this was from a project I was working on. Note the stand off from the plate. The new model is black, old one is brown.

Roger,

I just got my 2nd tunze 6000. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the swivel piece comes with the stream (and not the magnet) right? If so, I think I have the new swivel piece, but how many degrees of turn would you say it gives the pump? For me, it seems like <30 degrees in either direction.

It could be, if it is brown with no stand off it is the old one, if it is bblack with the stand off it is the new one. I think based on looking at the parts you should get 45+ degrees with the new one. Both parts would be in circulation on new pumps at this time. I use Stream rocks so I haven't tried the new part yet.

In other words, if it's the old piece it would match the color of the stream pump itself?

Unless you got a black Stream, for about 2 weeks now some are black, the last shipment all were black but those should just be now arriving to the dealers.
