I have the ACI which I bought off a fellow reefer. I'm not sure how old the Temp probe is.
How often does the temp probe need to be replaced?
If the temp probe is taken care of it should last many years. If it is working, then there is no reason to replace it.

Do I need to calibrate the temperature on the ACI?
I have a chiller that gives a digital reading and their is a 1 degree difference between the AQI and the chiller. The chiller could be off but wanted to see if calibration should be done.
If you bought (new) the temperature probe and controller together and they shipped in the same box, then they were calibrated to a NIST traceable source and are within +- .5F. If not, there should be a note attached the temperature probe indicating the correct offset to use with your controller.

The ACI is not new and was bought off a fellow reefer.
Then I have no idea whether or not the calibration offset is correct or not. To absolutely know the correct temperature you'll have to compare it to a NIST traceable source, and adjust the calibration offset accordingly.
