Hi, will 2 Turbelle Stream 6000 be too much for my 90g tank? Its going to be mainly softies and LPS corals, I also have a mag 9.5 as return. Will they be overkill? I can always lower the flow coming from the mag in the sump.
Thanks

No but you may need to run only one at a time which wouldnt be a bad choice because the flow would be more natural and random this way over just having one pump.

can I also lower the speed of the water output? as well as running 1 at a time?

Yes, but it would make more sense to just get a smaller return to save electricity rather than valve down your return.

Ok, I will go with the mag 7 I have. And I just ordered 2 6000 with multicontroller, I hope it will be good for my LPS, softy tank.

Thanks!

Most softies and LPS will be fine but you may have to make special provisions for Euphyllias as their long streaming polyps like lower flow, what generally works is to place them in a cradle of live rock that will shelter them to some extent. It mainluy comes down to position of the pumps and corals and programming the controller.
