Hi,
You have a *REALLY* old CSP-DI (I think!). The tubing has all been changed from our original colors and the flow restrictor is probably missing.
Tap water enters at the left lower red tube into a sediment filter.
Then goes through a carbon filter and then into the membrane on top.
Waste water leaves through the yellow tube which should have a thin capillary tube inside it (the flow restrictor). Good RO water leaves the remaining port and goes through the DI cartridge on the right. DI water is in the right-hand red tube. The probe in the tee connects to our Electronic Purity Monitor to monitor to DI purity.
You can still get all the replacement filters, membranes (and flow restrictors to match), and monitors from us.

Here's the web page for the CSP-DI:
http://spectrapure.com/St_osmo_p2.htm
It describes the system and has links at the bottom
for the replacement parts that can be ordered online
or call us at 1-800-685-2783.
Thanks for asking,

is it normal to shoot out right now even without the flow restrictor at such high speed? If i put my finger over the waste line and either stop it or just let a little water through the psi reading goes up but it doesnt produce ANY water out of the product line. i need to figure out if this thing is worth buying parts for or if i should just get a new RODI

Yes, very normal. It is tap water pressure. You can't hold your finger against (60 psi?) pressure long enough to let the water seep through the membrane, it initially takes a couple of minutes.
A $4 flow restrictor shouldn't prevent you from using this system.
