Well guys, I've picked up a star for $5.99 and currently have it in my fo tank, but would like to have it in my reef. My question is this--how reef safe are they? Have any of you had any ill experiences with them? Also, I picked up 2 little gobies, does anyone know of a site with good pictures of gobies?
Thanks
Shane

I wouldn't put it in my reef. Go to about.com and check out their saltwater section. There is a good article on starfish there and the CC in particular. I think the overall opinion is that they are not reef safe.

Defenitely not reef safe. Any starfish with a body that looks like a chocolate chip star(thick legs with bumps on top) should not be considered for a reef.

Corals and sponges make up a large part of their natural diet.

There's good reason these guys are called "Cookies o' Death". You really don't want to put one into a reef tank.
