Does anyone run one of the above?

I am interested in the noise level generated, as I am planning to add a sump to a tank situated in a bedroom.

My drilled tanks use stockman / durso silencers on the overflow chambers, is the 1074 overflow likely to be as quiet as these?

I use one on my tank. The new one is 1074/2. They are very quiet, but they can only handle 1200 l/h of flow, with a second U tube you can get 1500l/h. I don't think they get any quieter. You would want to use the outlet hose 1075/2 to be as quiet as possible. This hose is way oversize and corrugated and this gets rid of the burping and gurgling noise.

I am looking for a hang on overflow box. CPR is not good (I heard), Amiracle is out of stock, Lifereef is expensive. How much is 1074 overflow? Any link?

They cost about $105. The only thing that makes them a challenge is installation is done by cutting pieces of foam to shim it into position. Their are no screws or brackets. They are on the tunze website.
