How do I get the ACIII to send me an email when the power goes off?

I have the network and the controller on a UPS, it currently logs the outage but doesn't send me an email. Is this a configuration setting that I am missing?

you have to configure the AC3 on the device itself for your email settings, set the AC3 to recognise your alarm timer name, eg ALM and add 'If Power Fail Then ALM ON' to your script. I think you also need to have the backup battery terminal powered by the UPS, not the main.

I was missing the script,

"If Power Fail Then ALM ON"

I'll give it a shot, thanks....

so you just need an additional power supply to plug into the "battery" port on the AC unit? This power supply would be run through the UPS?

Yes that is correct. Without the extra power supply, a power failure is not reported.

Question,
If I connect my main AC2 transformer to the UPS, and purchase a secondary transformer(with the 9-volt connector) to my AC2 battery back up, will this cause a ground loop, or what if the transformers are not plugged into to the same ac "Phase".

I currently have 8 outlets on 2 dedicated circuits (1 GFCI on each leg of AC, with a second outlet piggy-backed to it). Will this harm my AC2 unit? either:
A) plugged into UPS, and wall outlet on the same ac phase, or

b) plugged into UPS, and the the other wall outlet on the other AC phase?

Confused?

No, it should not cause a ground loop. I don't your outlets causing a problem either.
