Hi Jason,
Just curious if you've gotten the AmpMaster 3000 that you ordered?
Also ...
Do you/do you plan to ...sell Aqualine Buschke lighting? I am thinking of using Double Ended Aqualine Buschke lighting for my Reef.
Thanks

Hi,
Sorry, we are still waiting for the Ampmasters, not sure why they are taking so long this time.
On the Aqualine, we can get the fixtures and hoods, they are a dropship, so probably would take 2 weeks.

Jason,
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm not too much concern at the moment as I am just about to setup my tank, and will not need it right away. (but please notify me via email before sending) --I have purchased the pumps behind my "significant other"s back and want to make sure she doesn't see it ...she already gave me hurt time about the Heater ......she aint seen nothing yet ...ha ha..ha..:p
As far as Aqualine Fixture goes, I am not quite sure how I can include in my setup as I am receiving my tank this Saturday and I already have Canopy on top (so I have to get everything but the fixture) ...or is there anyway I can add the fixture to my existing Canopy?
Also, can please tell me how much I'm looking at for two dual setup (250W is the max for double ended?)
Thanks:p

Hi,
We'll email you tracking when they ship, feel free to email to check anytime.
On your tank/canopy. I would wait until you get it, that way you can see how much room you have. If the canopy is big enough to use, you might want to look at a retro kit or something instead of Aqualine since they are such a fancy hood, probably wouldn't want to hide it in hood. Never know though, might not cost that much more.
On wattage, with double end, you do only have 150 and 250watt versions, but hqi seems to be more intense then standard halide, so 250 is pretty strong.
The 48" dual 250watt hqi Aqualine Aquastar is $689.90.
thanks

Thanks Jason for your quick response (as always).
Well, I've just gotten my Tank today, Canopy is 12" . I will compare prices and see which would be the best way to go
2x Dual PFO HQI -
4x Radium 400W 20,000K Bulbs
4x Spider Reflector
Vs
4x Aqualine HQI Double Ended 250Watt (I heard of 20K, but not sure if its available yet)
Probably in a month or so, I want to get the lighting up and running.

Jason,
Did they responded to you? If they delay you too much, demand Upgrade from them for the hold up. :D

Hi Jason,
If I don't get the Aqualine Aquastar Fixture, but instead I want to replicate the similar setup in my Canopy [which is 7ft long 2ft wide and1fit (high) ] how much can I get by with for
4x250W Double ended setup
with 4xURI 03 in ICECAP
(Above should include everything for a ready to go light system setup) -Aquline bulbs, ballast and so on
Now, Jeremy (who I must say is a Gentleman and a scholar) gave me a quote for similar setup, which I thought was bit higher than what I expect to spend. Looking at your message, I just realized that it should cost me less if I don't get the hqi Aqualine Aquastar (which is $689.90) but get loose item to setup my own fixture using my canopy.
Besides that, I suppose this is a "2 bulb setup" and I cannot hookup two of these fixture in my canopy even if I decided to go that route.
Anyway, hopefully we can workaround a light setup that meet my expectation without killing me

Hi Intekhab,
I just emailed you an invoice for the 4x250 hqi double ends in PFO mini hoods and an IceCap 4x48 VHO retro kit.
The mini hoods are pretty expensive, but required for the hqi setup. There is suppose to be a hqi retro kit coming from another manufature, would require some wiring, but would save some money. Not sure how long it will be though,

Hi Jason,
Thanks for the quick response (of course the invoice). By the way, would it be very difficult to set this setup up? I am not much of a DIY guy, but I'm sure it shouldn't be too hard.
I did not see a Reflector in the invoice, or am I not reading it right? Also, the "Fixture" that Aqualine AB provides has some kind of UV shield, what would protect me from UV in my setup, any thoguht on that?
Thanks
But boy that still so expansive:( :( :( I think I need to apply for a Job at PA :lol2:

Hi Intekhab,
The PFO mini hoods would be fully wired and include a UV sheild, so you just screw them into your canopy and ready to go, plug and play.
The VHO retro kit takes some minor wiring, probably take you about 30 minutes to get it wired up. So little work involved on that retro kit.
The Mini hoods have reflectors inside the shells, so that covers you for halide, then you don't need a reflector with the VHo since URI bulbs have internal reflectors, having a reflector wouldn't hurt, but not really needed.
Hey, i'm sure we can put you do work! Those hqi's are very expensive. They look nice though, we have one running at the shop, it's a ushio though. I haven't seen the AB hqi in action yet, it's called a 10K, but is actually a 13K, so probably not as bright but blue cast.

Interesting! I wasn't aware that those AB 10K bulbs are actually 13K (although I heard people were saying those in some situation appears to be more intense than 400 20K bulbs.
By the way, I sent you an email. I think I would like to break my order into two pieces so it all don't hit me at once
Now, how am I suppose to afford Live Rock? When will PA run special like - Buy Lighting system and we will cover your liverock needs :D
Ok, if you are ok with the email, I will communicate with you shortly. Thanks.

Jason,
Ok, I think this would be my last question
Is this part of my order? If yes great.... if not :( do I need these to hook them up in my canopy? Then we need to add this please
http://www.pfolighting.com/aqwebsite/aqimages/pendenthangingsystemSMALL.jpg
Now, how do I make the purchase? I'm not sure if I can do that using the shopping cart you have at PA's web site:confused:
Also, not sure if you want to create another invoice that reflect the changes?
Regards,
Intekhab

Hi,
I would place it over the phone, the estimate will pull up and then you just have them remove the extra items that you want to order later.
or can email me the order and i can have them call you for credit info.
thanks
