why do these clams keep dieing within two months, they look fine at first than for no reason dead ,I have outher maxes that are fine I have 3- 250 watt 10,000k and 2 140 watt att. i am done with these blue ones this is about the 4 one i have skipped across my frount yard and at 70 to 100 .00 dollars apeice this sucks all parmids in tank fine

Please list ALL other tank inhabitants and the condition of the clam at the time of its demise...

In addtition, list all tank parameters. Stating they are "fine" tells us nothing. Include all relevant info.

amonia -0 nitrate-0 nitrate 0.1 ph 8.2 salinty 1024 cal 420 alt9.5 fish tangs and wrasses choris hermit crabs starfish serpent acrapors and soft corals the clam started gapeing then stoped then receded and I looked in the front of him this morn and you could see right in him where meat was missing

What size it he?

How are you acclimating him?

What are the sizes of the clams that are ok and the clams that are dying? What color are the ones that are ok?

the ones that die are about 4 inches the outher is a gold max and the 7 incher is like a green max here is a pict the blue one just died

How long after you put them in your tank did he he/them die??

Tell me how you acclimated them?
