The nano isn't out yet, I have a prototype I will be showing at MACNA. It should be out next month/end of this month. The 9005 an 9010 are out but only 10 of each of come in and the last 5 of each showed up this afternoon so tomorrow we will start getting them out to people.

thanks roger,

have you used the previous 3110/2 comline nano skimmer? how well do you think the new skimmer will compare to say, a remora?

thanks

I think it was easier to tune, because it worked in tank, overflows never ruined your floor and it was quiet. As to which is stronger I think they were relatively close. The new 9002 has a stronger pump and it is sleek looking because it is black and the adjustment screw is blue and the way they did the cord is nice. I also like the Nano reefpack because it comes with the magnet holder- that is actually what I am bringing to MACNA.

oh, so you actually compared the 3110 and the remora side by side?

No, but I have used both in the shop I used to own. The 9002 should be their, the 3110/2 is history. It will be replaced by 9002. Be sure to go to www.tunze.com and refresh as it has been updated in the last couple weeks and you may have a old cached version.

I've used both side by side, and the 3110/2 crushes the Remora. It's not even a competition, the 3110/2 just pulls more skimmate of whatever kind you want wet/dry than the Remora ever has. I get more skimmate (I work a bit on the west side) in a day than the Remora would do in a week. The tunze is adjustable with the valve, as opposed to raise/lower the cup which makes a huge difference.

The 9002 doesn't really look that different. So I'd expect the results should be the same.

The 9002 has a stronger pump, besides that it is cosmetic. The new pump does 210 gph, the old one 165gph.
