Detrivore mentioned this somewhere else. This is a nice pump! Is it available here in the US?

All of these pumps will be available in the US when they come out- whatever model it is.

I can only assume it is the Master series return pumps? These have already been ordered when they were announced, I was told they will be out in November.

External only right? Electronically controlled? I know this generation the blurb says no speed control, but the future....?????

It is external only in saltwater because it has an aluminum panel to cool the electronics. It is water tight though and in freshwater could be submerged. Speed control is possible but not with our existing technology.

Gotta tell ya Roger, a speed controlled version of those larger pumps would be just TOO COOL....hint, hint!

It is just a matter of building the controller, the technology exists already.

Well Roger, if you're on your way to MACNA, or already there...let 'em know! Speed control would simply be too cool on a closed loop.

My God, a controller for that pump series would be incredible. To be able to control your sump flow rate with a controller would be fo-shizzle (weak attempt at being cool). If you do, please put me at the top of the list of buyers, I will buy a pump and controller no matter what the cost (I say that because IMHO Tunze has extremely fair pricing for what you get).

BTW, I'll get the 6200 out in a couple weeks for you to take a look at the loose fitting. I need it now for water testing, I just have it secured with transparent fishing line, works great.

The pump should be ready in November, the controller will take a while it is technically possible though.

So are these pumps compariable to mag pumps for a return??

They use less electricity and pump far more, they are external use only on saltwater.

Oh ok thanks... I will have to stick with the mag because I do not have my sump drilled. On another note I ordered my 6000 turbelle with all the goodies (controller, photocell, mag mount) and can't wait to get them!!! :) :) :) :)
