What is it? Why is it in my tank and how do I get rid of it?????

Try manual removal. The left picture looks like algae that a friend got. No fish would eat it.

brown wafer algae. nothing i found would munch it. if left
unchecked, it will overgrow corals, smothering them. i ended
up having to 'cook' my rock to get rid of it.
