Yes, those two gigas were beautiful!

And maybe I need to make another trip over there!
If I keep this up I will have a tank about half as good as yours! lol.

It was a surprise to find some excellent and healthy animals at this place.

There are some pictures (some pretty bad ones as well), of the whole place. Lots of fun. But the camera died when I got to the mostly reef part :(

Remember what I said about the clam hanging off your lip, well it would REALLY hurt if it was to hang off something else :) hehehe

Jim this might be a weird question, but are all those clams that are black with blue stripes considered "Black and Blue" Maximas?

Are they rarer than the regular ones.

I have a super super turquoise, a really weird black and gold one, and a black with blue striped one (like your pictures).

I got them pretty cheap off of someone who was getting rid of their tank, but generally How much do the black and blue ones go for?

I honestly have no idea.

The really bright turquoise is about 3" now.

The black and blue and the black and gold are the smallest ones, almost a couple inches and growing.

Thanks

Sultant,
I would like to see pictures of your clams! I think the reason BLACK maxs are so much is that they are rare of course. Black being the absence of color makes they rare. Espesially the black with very little markings. For me I like patterns and color! I know that the black maxs are VERY $$$ but so is a black tang. In this hobby I think most of us want something different or rare or $$$. I think it is a GREAT hobby!
