View Full Version : Purchased used Max Pure system

I am a total newbie to RO/DI. I just purchased a used system and now I need to know the what wheres and whens. My system is about 2 years old and was up and running until the day I bought it.
Is there any place I can get an instruction manual? At this point I don't know which filters are which, which ones need replaced or..?? I was reading on your website something about a membrane. Do I need to get a new one of those? I'm confused. I did get it hooked up though and water is running through it. I'm also reading something about a Push to Test? Any info you could provide would be wonderful. Too, I have well water so chlorine is not an issue
Help! please :)

You can get the Owner's Manual for the MPDI on our website, www.spectrapure.com .
Change the sediment filter when the pressure drops so much you can't make water fast enough.
Change the carbon filter when a Chlorine Test Kit indicates ANY presence of chlroine in the waste water stream.
Change the color-changing DI carts when it changes color.
Change the RO membrane when it finally plugs up and no longer produces good water. It's the long tube on top and filters out the hardness and other chemicals the pre-filters don't take out.
The Push-to-Test Purity Monitor is an optional meter that will tell you when the DI cart is exhausted. Exhausted DIs will leach the stuff they have taken out back into the product water stream.

I have the spectraplus 2000, can you link me to a online manual for this thing, because I have searched high and low on your site and cannot find it.

Half-way down the right-hand side of the home page under Tech Support you will find "Manuals".
Click on that.
Half-way down the left-hand side of the manuals page is "SpectraPlus 2000".
Click on that. It's a pdf file.
Hope this helps,

Thanx...Now that is what I call "feedback" customer support at it's best. The bad thing is that it makes me look like a big dummy because it was right there the whole time, I prefer to go with the old excuse, I was tired and just did'nt see it.
