Looks almost like some sort of stag, but hard to tell at this size. Absolutely awesome color combo though! How quick is it growing?

Thanks I really like it . I like it more than the bennete yellow tort next to it ;)

I am trying to find more info about it from the store where i got it from . So far all I got is that it is a first round aquaculture that a company is doing and next round of frags wont be avail for 6 months or so .

Any other ideas on id? It does seem stag like to me also but again its hard since it is still small yet.

It has grown at least an inch in the last month and sprouted and extra branch at the base.

Where did you get it?

The polyps on mine are alot darker than the pic very vibrant. I am amzed also that it has held it's color well considering 50% of my sps color shifted once in my tank .

Interresting yours is also the closest I have seen in comparison.

The place I got mine from like to get great quality frags for ORA , garf and some other small operations. Some stuff they only get a frag or 2 once a year . Always nice stuff and I happen to step in at the right time and once I saw the purple polyps I knew it was going home no matter what. It will look darn nice next to my super purple with green polyp coral when they grow up.

Mine is in the middle of my tank dirrectly forward of the bulb and about 7 inches below the water. It loves light more than the yellow tort does I need to move the tort down as it is lightening up too much.

hmm...wonder who else has one that is close. i've never seen a pic of one like it before

mine is on the left edge of the tank about 1/2 way down. i would like to get it higher and towards the light more and see what happens. it isn't super colorful yet

here it is when i got it

Okay heres a way better picture. Still the polyps have a richer tone than the pic can provide.

I belive that I have that acro... I have heard it called the pink polyped yellow millie. Its Freaking amazing I will add. I'll keep the source of my frag unknown as I do not want to cause a riot of e-mails to the person lol!

Its very Rare, take care of it!

Acropora austera, cream/pink body with blue/purple polyps. High flow/high light lover. Will grow in unusual patterns depending on flow.

Actually, looking through this thread, there are 3 diferent species posted...

clkwrk & Lunchbucket have the austera.
dirtyreefer has an Acropora lovelli
The link jackson6745 posted is Acropora exquisita

PS yellow/cream with blue/purple polyps is not uncommon of most wild corals.

Here is mine now . It has had 2 decent frags taken from it in the last 3 months and is growing well for its awkward lay. It is almost 8 inches long now

Yellow austera with purple/blue polyps. I've seen my colony color up with purple polyps but only at the tips... amazing how every polyp is purple!

I have moved this piece to a new tank and polyp extension has improved from the pictures. This I bought this piece online as ORA Marshall Island, however when it arrived it looked nothing like the one I order online but I said nothing because it was very nice. It may have shifted colors during shipping. There was not a standard ORA frag plug attached to it either. So maybe its ORA Marshall Island maybe it is something else it a mystery to me as well. I will take a few picture of it and post them when I get home.
Thank you,
David
