well i got a maxima clam and i have acclimated him and placed him on the ls under a piece of live rock rubble, question is how long does it take for him to attach, cus i always have to stick my hand in to flip him over, first few times my anemone knocked him over but now i guess he moves a lil and falls over himself, i figured it might be because hes not happy, but his mantle is fully extended and he has great reaction to light.

what do you guys recommend? also hes about 3 inchs are they fully reliant on light now? or do they still need to be fed?

thanks i look forward to your guys response

if the clam likes the spot you placed it in it should stop moving around in a short time.when they grab on with there byssal threads can be from a few days to a few weeks.and at that size it should be just about fully dependent on light.
