Sponge Covered Rock

Rich at Tampa Saltwater just sent me some increadible rock. Two large ones are covered with orange and red sponges. Help! I have no idea how to keep sponges alive.:reading:

If this is your first package, then a lot of the sponges will die off. The finger sponges and wood sponges will most likely not make it. They will take a while to die, but I've not seen anyone keep those alive yet in their first half of the package. The encrusting sponges will survive more likely than not. The white/beige ones will come and go. Just keep your water parameters good and you will have more luck with your second package. Then you will be able to feed DT's to help them along.
