I have a Squamosa clam its about 5-6" I have it on the sand bed. My question is will it try to attatch itself to the glass or will it just stay on top of the sandbed? The reason I ask it keeps moving in circles. I have looked for anything that may be bothering it. Its in a low flow area of the tank. I will try to get some new pics later

when Squamosas get larger they don't use there byssal threads to hold them in place.so it shouldn't attach to the glass but if it does it no big deal, and would take about 20 sec. to remove.it could be moving around for many reasons, i wouldn't worry about it as long as its opening up fine and still has good color.

Squamosas do prefer a hard substrate to attach to, I like to place maine on a flat rock hidden by the sand.
