How does everyone achieve so much flow? I've recently (3 wks) set up my 150 reef and am trying to get the 20-30X flow rate down. I've got a Mag 12 for a return, SEIO 1500 for a power head, RIO 12HF for a closed loop for my UV, and a RIO 600 w/venturi to keep a siphon on the overflow. All this equals out to about about 3000 gph, but it also creates quite a bit of turmoil in the tank. I've got about 250lbs. of LR that I attempt direct the flow at so as not to disturb the sand bed it still eroding the bed. I also feel that my direct placement on the rocks is going to affect where I can place my corals. I have quite a few shrooms, xenia, and polyps I'm already trying to avoid. Anybody got any great ideas on how to achieve a cleaner look? Thanks!

I have a 30 gal that had two MJ400's pointed to the front center of the tank from the back corners. I took them out and put in a Rio 1100. The flow is great but it moved a lot of sand and everywhere in the tank is pretty much high flow now. Is this too much flow or not. I have GSP, Xenia, Zoos, a Ric, a Shroom, and some candy cane coral. Everything is doing great but my xenia is horizontal. Thanks for the help.
