Hi Tom,
It sounds like you have some nice products. Are there any plans for a light that would fit a 30" tank?? The 24" MH/T-5 would work but I probably couldn't just sit it on top of an All-Glass top---plastic hinge down the middle. I heard you will have some other T-5 units out soon. Any 24 or 30 inchers?? How does the light output and the heat to the tank compare between the current 48" T-5 only unit and the MH/T-5 unit?? Thanks. R

Rick,
Thank you for your interest in Aquactinics. While we currently don't have any plans for a 30" fixture, we do have plans for a riser bracket that extends a 24" fixture to 30". The bracket will come out 3" each side from the fixture so that it can rest on the edge of a 30" tank. The same will go for the 24" T5 fixture.

Both the 48" T5 and MH/T5 fixtures add very little to no direct heat to your tank. Both fixtures are high output lighting. The T5 fixture is a 5 lamp system using all High Output T5 lamps with individual reflectors. The MH/T5 48" fixture is a dual MH and dual T5 fixture with a full length ( 95% reflectivity ) reflector. The MH/T5 fixture can handle 175W, 250W, or 400W Single Ended MH bulbs. If you have any other questions, or if something wasn't clearly explained, please let me know.

Thank you,

Tom
