Pruning Bubble Caluerpa Question?

About six months ago I put a small amount of bubble caluerpa in my 15 gallon refuge. I planned on doing a 2.5 g. nano a couple of months ago. Since then the caulerpa has at least doubled and I want to add some in the over flow of my new nano (few weeks old). How should I prune it?

I try to roll the vine where I want to break it off between my fingers. I think you can kinda break the wall to try to prevent some of the "sap" leaking into the waqter. You might want to run some AC after, just in case.
