Osmolator

Hi, i have a 37 gallon aquarium that I will be setting up for seahorses. I do not plan on having a sump. Will the osmolator work on an aquarium with the "lip" on the rim? How far from the top of the tank would the water level need to be set at?

If it is about 1" below the trim you can use an osmolator in tank.
