Roger,
I just picked up a 9005 in the equipment selling forum, and I know you recommended the 9010 for my setup but i wanted to save a little cash so i went for it. my question is: my sump runs at a constant 7.5" water level, can I use it in sump without the kit for a few days?. That leaves about 4.5" of waterless space in the sump (if that makes anysense). I have the 9005.40 kit on order, just waiting for it to arrive.
TIA
Jonathan

You would have to have 9.5" of water minimum for the skimmer to work, I would recommend 10".

If anyone would have it it would be Marine Depot but they may be universally out of stock. I don't have any on hand.
