The best way I can describe it is a venus fly-trap lol.

looks like sundial snail, remove them as they eat zoos

I would say it looks like a bivalve. I have one in a colony of greens. It is easier to see at night with a flashlight.

Roger that... I don't know what they are but I see them on rocks all the time. They don't seem to hurt much.

Yeah, i agree, it is some type of bivalve, prob a clam, I have a bunch of them on a couple of rocks.

Push on it alittle and if it wiggles but does not come off then it is a bivalve. Threads are holding it in place. Also look for 2 siphons (one might be larger than the other) at the mantle (the blue line in the middle).

I just discovered one of these in my tank today. Its definitely some kind of clam. Mine is green just like yours. Must be the same species.

its a bivalve! they usually take up residence in high feeding or high flow areas where food is carried to them, so if you are blowing phyto on your zoas and they are in your tank then thats where they are going to settle! they dont hurt anything!!!

If I'm not mistaken, it's a type of scallop. Ridged laterally, fixed at the very back, if it has little eye stalks, (could be very tiny), we have a scallop. Feed it well, and it'll be eating size in about 20 years. J/K
