$12!! if its not sick i would jump all over that one!!. they are one of the harder to keep tangs. much like the Powder Blue. going to put him in the 90g right? he will do fine in there if hes small. but they like most tangs like long tanks. so he may out grow the 90g heres a link for them http://www.marinedepotlive.com/achilles-tang--adult----acanthurus-achilles-fish--tangs.html

I've been researching tangs for my new tank and everything I come across says they are pretty tough to care for

they are really hard to care for, more difficult than a powder blue. Be sure to have ALOT of water flow in your tank, they need extreamly high levels of disolved oxygen.

Thank you everyone for your replies. I picked one up yesterday, and so far so good, he's already eating nori.

Hes cheap only because Achilles Tangs are native to Hawaii and most likly hes wild, which would make him even harder to keep. They are hard enough to keep alive let alone tank breed. I would qt him for awhile when you get him to ensure good health and to get rid of any diseases that may be present.
