I will be purchasing a 180 next week. I am looking for opinions and or pictures of this sixe tank. I will be ordering a AGA or Oceanic. This will be to upgrade from my 125 AGA. I have heard negative about the Oceanic due to a wide center brace. Any suggestions / help is appreciated. Thanks

Check out the 'brick' style from Oceanic which doesn't use a center brace and thicker glass - I have a 215 on the way. I think Oceanic is better quality than AGA although their both owned by the same company now...

Here is our 2 y/o Visio 180:

we have a center overflow so our cross braces are smaller and on each side of the overflow. If I was able to do it again I would pay the extra and get it euro-braced.

We are running 3 400w 20k's and 2 160w VHO actinics.

Are you fixed on going with AG or Oceanic? If so you can probably order a 180 from Oceanic, custo with a metal powder coated frame so you'll very minimal bracing if any. Be prepared though when the price tag hits...custom from Oceanic will be steep!! Second suggestion would be to try Miracles in Glass (a sponsor). They are very knowledgeable and much better priced. I'm sure they could eurobrace the tank very affordably. Might want to check into starfire glass also.

Thank you to all and yes this will be either a AGA or Oceanic this time around. chap and mike660r thanks for info and picks. It looks like I will get another AGA. Since I run the Tunzee wave box and 6080 I was just thinking of thicker glass. AS I said this will be a upgrade from our 125 AGA to a 180 then next time we will be going to a custom around 500 0r 600. Its been almost 2 years with the 125 then we will do the same with the 180 before we take the big plunge. Once we get the 180 the way we like it we will start researching here for the biggy custom. Thanks to all.

I have the older 180 AGA. I drilled the bottom for over flows. The new ones have tempered bottoms. They back up there products too.
