my camera is a canon powershot A400, it's 3.2mp I was looking into getting a new camera though.

it's great for taking pics of corals that are close to the glass, but if you want to zoom in on something farther back in the tank it get's pretty blurry. I need a camera that has a better optical/digital zoom.

Even using a high-quality camera It can still be difficult to get pictures of corals further away from the glass - using a magnifying glass is actually very helpful if you want to try it out...
