I ordered a 400 gal tank from aquariums for you. I am at the point where they want to know the holes required.
I really like tunze and have used them for over a year, quiet a lot of flow but the big plastic box on the side of the tank.
I would consider using 4 tunze on the 400, two 6200 and 2 6100 all on one side left as it is a room divider. This brings the closed loop to over 15k gph. I currently have a 265 gal with 2 6200 on it and it seems good.
The tank manufacture want me to use one hammerhead for the closed loop and said it will be enough flow. The hammerhead flow is about 5000 gph with low head. Now this seems a lot lower than the tunze but the tunze push water really slow and may indeed move a tank volume about the same as a hammerhead. I DO NO KNOW AND THIS IS THE BIG QUESTION THAT CAN REALLY CHANGE MY TANK. well yes I could add tunze after but hidden pumps do sound good.
THANKS

WHAT AMOUNT OF TUNZE DOES A HAMMERHEAD COMPARE TO????
