Okay, I really like the Dolphin Aqua Sea Amp Master pumps for a variety of reasons and would really like to get one for my upcoming set-up, but the plumbing from my sump is 1". The fittings for the particular pump that I am looking at is 1.5". The information from the Marine Depot website says that you can use 1" pipe with a 40% loss in flow. If I get this pump and plumb it with 1" pipe, will it damage the pump? Also, I have never run plumbing before aside from small projects around the house. So any tips on plumbing are welcome.
