9005 stopped working

while changing my filter sock tonight i moved my 9005 skimmer a few inches to the side and once i had changed the sock noticed that it had stopped bubbling and water wasnt coming out of the standpipe (i'm using the 9005.40 in sump kit). I switched it off and back on again and the same thing happened.

so i then took it out and took out the pump to see if i could find anything, put it back together and the same thing happened. there weren't as many bubbles as there should be and they were large (like it was being tested in freshwater) and water still wasnt coming out of the standpipe.

i took it apart again and then switched it back on and this time water flows out of the standpipe but the bubbles are still large and few like its being tested in fresh water.

what should i do?

Either the airline is kinked or the nipple isn't completely into the venturi.

well, i left it plugged in overnight and this morning it was skimming away. i checked the airline last night and nothing was wrong. go figure

Sometimes they do that and I think the cause is bubbles getting in the actual pump.
