For a current 24 nano cube what is the best skimmer that I could run "outside" the cube. IE: hang on/ other. I hated hate hair algea but I will have MH lighting on the nano so I can run corals and clams. I will also have a UV skimmer. Please this would really help out a lot.

i would go with as big as you can, since it wouldn't be all that big to begin with. so fit what you can on it, i doubt you're going to over skim.

Hey, now that I know that you will be running a chiller, will you also incorporate a sump? if so your possibilities are endless. I have a 50 gallon with an ASM G@ and I am extremely happy, I don't think you need a g2, but they have a g1 and they just came out with the mini. you could check them out. asmskimmers.com

Scoob,
how much are you looking to spend on the skimmer?
do you have a sump?

I'll spend around $200 willingly. I have spent my first learning years with less adequite skimmer and hair algea overan the tank. I head that ramora skimmers are good????

remoras are great but i think your best bet would be...

1) live rock at about 25-30 lbs
2) live sand about about 25-30 lbs
3) cheato/refuge in one of the chambers
4) Current USA fission nano skimmer

will be enough filtration for almost all applications.

you should look into the mini asm skimmer, 99.00
