Was adding CA to tank and added too much???!!???

useing Salifert test kits...
CA is 500
ALK is 3.66
KH is 10.2

Am I ok? Should I just "let it ride"?
Thanks!

depends on what kind of CA you used.

let it ride,500 is o.k. Trying to fix it might cause more of a problem instead of just leaving it.

clown2be is right. Besides, Oceanic salt comes at calcium levels above that I believe.

As long as you don't have precipitation then your ok... and if you did have precipitation well then it's over and your still ok. In any case, let it ride and once the levels are where you want them, sustain them there.

Randy will of course chime in with the final word.

I'd let it come down over time by maintaining alkalinity and not supplementing calcium, but 500 ppm is not a big deal. :)

Thanks all!

Randy,

I red that article just after I posted this concern.

As always.... great article.

Thank you. :)
