Anyone know the trick to keep a copperband butterfly alive? I am going to add one to my system to help control the aptasia and cut the cost of joe's juice. QT is a must

while in QT you can of course try offerning it Aiptasia covered rocks with hope for training it well/better during isolation (4+ weeks). But assuming it does not eat them ravenously at first, and as a trick for training BFs in general to take prepared foods, do the "clam" trick:

take a freshwater mussel/clam (grocery store frozen or LFS shop live - they sell them as livestock for FW tanks)... and place it into the tank. In a day or two usually it will start to purse open. Quite tempting for many fishes... especially longer snouthed BFs. After the fish east the mussel out of the shell, fill the shell each day with other more convenient/nutritious foods (mysis, plankton, etc) and mix in minced clam meet if needed (also from LFS freezer).

It's a very old trick (see pics of it from Burgess books in the 1970's)
