Hello, so it turned out my 75g. acropora tank crashed due to a stuck auto-top off system. Anyhow, I saved the rock, because I knew there had to be some life on it, "cured" it for a week in my 125g. aquarium's sump, and then put it in my 75. As you can see my before 75g. was BB, my new one is DSB. A big difference, but I think it will work for me. Also, the elegance corals you see has been with me for over a year, I bought it January 2005. It was $60 and it looked really healthy at the store so I thought what the heck and bought it. It lived. Anyways, here are the pics tell me what you think.

it crashed the tank because it was plumbed directly into the water source and I was using a toilet float valve and I guess a peice of carbon or something got stuck in it on the on position and it kept putting huge sums of fw into the tank. Did I mention that 100+ gallons of water were dumped onto the floor due it the auto top off continually putting water into the tank? I had to remove the carpet to put new padding down. The flooding was all in my room and even went into the hallway. Ahh well, I think I am going to like my new system better anyways.

This my surprise/scare you, but right now I have one VHO atentic, and one VHO atentic white. Thats it. Next year when the time comes to replace the bulbs I am going to use a aquasun white instead of a atentic white. I like that pink color those bulbs give off.

Not really surprised :). Thats the same light I have on my 75 right now. Of course I'm still in the build stage, once I am done I will move the 3 95w VHO bulbs from my 30g as I move the corals over. I want to have one end with great lighting and one end that is alittle darker for my shroom garden...
Talk about pink..This is an aquasun comapred to a actinic white..

ohh and BTW before on my old 75g. setup i had the two vhos, but they were atentic, and i had (2) 250w. SE XM 10K bulbs. they looked yellow too much to me. I am going to get those fish "that I have always wanted" with the tank I have now. You know, those ultra pretty or rare ones. I want a longhorn cowfish but........

I had a "Scrawled Cowfish" before. I cought it in the keys. At died tho cause it jumped out of the tank. I also had one before that one that i also cought in the keys, it only ate whole shrimp from the supermarket. It lived like months, then I traded it in to the LFS and it died almost immediately. HUH I say. IT was kool, a little big for a 75g. tank, (at 7" long and 4" wide and 5" talll) but it was triangle shaped and kool. anyways..

It blends nicely if you have 1 aquasun, 1 actinic white, 1 superactinic... But still to pink for me..
