I have the 8 bulb fixture pluged into a "groundfault interupter" as per the directions from sunlight. Every other day or so - it goes out. How can I tell if the fixture is not working right, or if my "groundfault" device is not right, or if my circut is not right.

(I have the 48" unit).

Thanks

How many watts/amps is the GFI rated for? Do you have anything else plugged into the same circuit you may be overloading it.

When you say "it goes out" , what exactly do you mean? Is the button on the GFI tripping? Is the circuit breaker in the panel tripping? Is the fixture just not working for no reason? What?

The button on the GFI is tripping. I took the glass cover off the tank, and It has not happened again. (As a precaution, I have the pump running off another circut).

I would like to hang the fixture, so I could raise it a bit - and possibly add a fan. I can't figure out how to hang it.
