I just purchased an Engineer Goby that's about 8" long. I have a few questions for you, but first some info. I've had it for 2 days. It lives under a large piece of live rock. Yesterday evening it stuck its head out and ate a couple of pieces of Silversides that floated by.

Hopefully some of you have had one of these fish and enjoyed keeping it.

1. Will I ever see this fish during the day? It looked beautiful in the LFS in a small tank with minimal decoration.

2. What should I feed it?

3. Any suggestions how to feed with minimal waste?

4. IYO, will it ever come out and go to the top to get food?

This is a 150 gallon tank with a fairly docile 8" puffer, a 4" Panther Grouper, a 4" Orange Spot Goby and the Engineer. The Grouper is adjusting to the new tank inhabitants and should calm down a bit over the next few days. It's inspecting the new inhabitants now and may intimidate the Engineer a little.

I’ve heard these Gobies can be a lot of fun to have. Thanks for your opinions. :)
