Fish Spasms

Saw a beautiful Coral Beauty at the LFS that just came in. I noticed that ever few seconds the fish would JUMP and twitch in a short spasm, almost like it was being shocked. It was active, swimming and eating and exploring, but every few seconds it would spasm and its entire body would move VERY QUICKLY and for a short jerk.

Has anybody ever seen this kind of odd behavior before and any idea what the cause might be?

Could it be a symptom of poisoning or just stress?

Sometimes when fish do that, they are showing signs of ich starting.

So true Andrew. They kinda do a little shake shake. Then gradually it will go to scratching the infected area to a piece of live rock, and in time it will simply grow worse.

Do some searches on ich if ur really want the CBB so u can QT him properly.
