I am going to attempt to frag my pink millis but had a few questions.

If I cut a 1" piece of miili off and mount it can I cut another piece from the same part or do I have to wait until the tip heals?

does anyone have a link to where I can buy frag plugs, and can I use them right away or do I have to "cure" them?

cut a peice and let it heal back. one end of the sps freaked out is better than two ends. (just a thought) i use my plugs right away. you can get them from thatfishplace.com

I once read E. Borneman or A. Calfo write something about mounting an SPS frag horizontally on the plug so it will develop many growth tips. I'm thinking of trying it with a brown monti that I don't care to lose a piece of.

i've done that with a few frags. it's worked out well.

thanks everyone. I've been trying to gauge a fair price on my millis(rasberry/pink), what do you think for a 1-1.5" frag mounted on a plug... $25-$30?

bowfront26,

Nice rose and clown by the way. I just picked up a rose and two baby Onyx clowns. Its sweet to sit back and watch them interact with the rose!

bow, I would stick with the $15-20 range since they are so small, and they will be easier to move out locally, so as not to have to ship them in their tiny condition

as for plugs, I have had great success with the ones from bostonaquafarms.com

Donfishy's price suggestion IMO is good. For smaller frags, IMO better to have them go out the door than sit because of a high price.

I've used the BostonAquaFarms, plastic tees, LR rubble - you name it. It's just aesthetics + how to hold on rack/rockwork best IMO. When I had a rack in my tank, I loved the plugs. Now I'm more likely to mount on rubble ... or cut with the person there - unless really grown-on, `fresh' unmounted frags seem to sell just as well - and the colony looks better until sold.
