starting a reef club

I have been talking with a few people in our area, Great Falls, Mt, about starting a reef club. The population of our entire state is smaller than many large cities but I am willing to give it a try. Ok, where to begin, any advice is welcome.

Have RC make a club forum for you, and as you find others with a sig in your area, mention it in a PM to them.
Buy some beer and invite them over..... it self perpetuates from there.

Michael knows his stuff. He founded WAMAS and took it from a group of beer-drinking friends who had meetings at someones house to a 200+ active member club that hosted macna xvii in a little over 6 years.

The RC club forums will give you a good starting spot and some online vendors and many local stores will donate stuff for raffles - as long as you can show them legitimate posts or flyers of actual meetings.

Im not on here much but as jerry said we have quite alot of people interested in a reef club here in great falls and montana. I have a lot of contacts because i work at petco.
