Will the Tunze stream be ok for a 40g breeder tank? I like the magnet holder specifically but I think it might be to much. The tank specs are 36x18x16.
Thanks
Nick

I have a 58 gal (36x18x21) and run two 6000's. It is a mixed reef and I run it from 30% to about 70% with no problems.

It depends on what you keep.

It's a mixed reef and the tank is fairly shallow. I have a 2-3" sandbed. I'm just wondering if it would kick up to much sand.
Can you lower the flow on it if necessary?

Yes, but the flow would still kick up fine sand, if it was 2-3mm coral sand it probably isn't a big issue.

crash519,
Where do you have the Streams placed in the tank ? I have the same setup and think they might be a bit much for the 58 with fish in the tank. I have my streams on the back wall facing in towards the middle front of the tank.
DamageInc,
I wouldn't go with a stream for that size of a tank. I think it would be too much
