I just purchased a Morish Idol from a local LFS. I understand they may be hard to keep. So far thay are eating pellet food and acclimation went well.
Any suggestions or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Sponge is very important to their diet as well.

They are suppose to love New Life Spectrum Pellets to. The guy that came up with this food feeds nothing but the pellets and the MI's look great.

not to highjack this thread many people consider them "caution" in a reef. What will they eat in a reef? any particular corals they are known to go after. Does anyone have one in a reef with no side effects. I really want one but.....

I have kept Idols for many years in the past. I fed them fresh clam and sponge, which they loved. In my experence Idols NEED plenty of room to swim and will do much better if kept in schools of 3 or more. I would not recommend to anyone who doesn't have a large rank 180+ and is not willing to take the time and effort to make sure its dietary needs are met.

I have clams in my tank, you say you fed fresh clam, so does that mean they will eat my clams?

Check out the link I posted. ;) There's a lot of info in there. It seems that they are hit or miss, just like any other fish we keep. ;)
Some have been model citizens, some have eaten LPS some SPS.
