Nigari??

I came across this in another thread and was wondering the utility of this product.

"I've used both the coarse and refined type. The refined one mixed clearer and I'm currently using that. The coarse type look like it came straight out of the salt ponds and the refined one look like your table salt. They are supposedly made from drying out natural sea water. What's left after table salt precipitated is nigari and it's mostly MgCl with some MgSO4 in it...hopefully in the right proportion but I don't see why it shouldn't be."
