Just scored this beauty at the LFS for twenty bucks. Been in his tank for several weeks and eating cyclopeeze and mysis.

I read that two males will fight till death. Something to consider. Ive got 3 but other than a split tail, no real problems.

What great fish. What is your tank setup for them? Is the mysis frozen?

About 5 years ago i got a pair from Foster/ Smith. Put them in a 55 gal seahorse tank and they dropped on the bottom and died within a day. Seem soo small and delicate.

Whats the longest you have heard of peple keeping them alive?

I've had mine (yellow banded)for a little over six months now....

but I've kept the blue stripes for over two years before

They look really good.

You can go out to the beach at night in Texas and catch tons of pipefish with your hands. Granted, they're not so attractive like the ones you got :)
