Could someone plz post a link to the thread(s) which are designed to help id a coral so that I don't waste everyone's time asking "what type of coral is this"
Thanks,
Jack
In EricHugo's "Rules for posting" thread in the coral forum there is a msg which says to see the thread at the top....
>>B. If you are requesting an identification, please read the ID faqs at the top of the forum first, and/or read my articles at Reefkeeping.com. If this does not help, I am more than pleased to try an ID your coral. but there is no thread at the top which talks about coral id....<<

Do you have pics?

We could try to ID here ... otherwise, I guess I'd probably send you more to get this, ID yourself

Well here are a couple of pics. If you could identify the LTA for me also that would be great.

After many months of great polup extension all of a sudden it was like someone flipped a switch with the cup coral(or whatever it is). No extension for 3 full days. Very stable system and parameters with no changes..... I wanted to id it before I posted questions about what was going on...It's showing some extension now (see pic) but nothing like normal....
Thanks,
Jack

That does look to be a Turbinaria sp. [cup] in the lower pic.

Where's the water chemistry at?

LTA looks like M. Doreensis. Need pics of the underside of the cap to tell for certain.
