I've had this anemone for a few weeks now and want to verify it.

It was sold to me as LTA m. doreensis. You can't see it, but the base of the foot is orange.

Looks M. doreensis to me as well.....you can even see the verrucae right through the oral disk.

Nice looking specimen.

Macrodactyla Doreensis aka "long tentacle anemone, or corkscrew anemone"

Thanks for the help. I originally had my heart set on a BTA, but all the BTAs in town were brown, tiny, and expensive. I thought this LTA had really good coloring, it's the size of a grapefruit when opened, and cost the same as the BTA.

I now its not natural in the wild, but if I could find a way to convince my ocellaris to move in the LTA instead of pestering my trumpet and red brain I'd be much happier. The clown hasn't even gone near it. Any ideas? I thought about getting the clown a mate.

give the clown some time. given the anemone is not the clown's natural host it may take some time for him to go to the anemone.
