Ok, i went to home Depot today and got a light thingy majig that has 3 20w Halogen Lights all of them will be pointed at myy Aquaclear 110.. will it work for Cheato???? thanks in advance

60w can be alot of light, is it running on the 30 or 2.5?

30g. for a fuge.. on a Aquaclear 110 ... will the Halogen light work???

You mod'd an aquaclear 110 to serve as a mini fuge?

My concern is that halogens put out enormous amounts of heat along with the light and that you will greatly raise the temp of the overall reef with three of the bulbs, or at least may cook the Chaetomorpha.

ok, well i dont have to use all 3 of them.. i could use 2 of them or even one of them... anyway there is a fan blowing over it.. and yes i modded the Aquaclear to be a minifuge..should i use one bulb (20w) or 2 bubls (40w) thanks in advance

I think it's going to depend on your bio-load as to how much light you want to run on the fuge. I'd start with one and see how the algae grows and how well it keeps nitrate down. If more removal is needed turn on another light and see if the algae can keep up yet not overgrow.

kkk thanks VERY much.. all i really needed to know is if the Halogen light would grow the Cheato... i will be setting it up tomorrow
