I just put them in about 1/2 hour ago, they open their mouths like they are yawning? is this normal?

I've got a pair of sixspot sleepers, they 'yawn' occasionally (as do my other fish), AFAIK it's perfectly normal. Unless they're doing it constantly, I wouldn't worry.
